Pastry Update 3.0

We are going to postpone Pastries on Wheels. We need to do more research on where to have this...as well as not have a sickly pastry who really really really would want to be there, but is stranded on the isle of Couch until further notice.

IMPORTANT!!!!!

I am pretty sure everyone was at the last Pastry Meeting, when it was announced that the Pastries on Wheels outing would not happen till WEDNESDAY, FEB. 16 due to problems with scheduling at the roller rink.

Because I'm sick, I am staying in tonight and watching Harold and Maude (because I didn't get to see it this weekend, because, again, I was sick). I'm going to try to start the movie around 7, so that I can get to bed by 10. Anypastry who wishes to attend is invited, just bring whatever you would like to drink or snack on and perhaps we can order pizza or something.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 is the updated Pastries on Wheels outing, and it will be held from 7:30 to 9 at AIRLINE SKATE CENTER, which is in South Houston. Details to follow.

Thanks again, and sorry for the late official notice, though I think everyone got this last Wednesday at Pastries Gone Wild.

We will be watching season 1 of the L Word at my place, this Friday.

The time of this pastry gathering is 6:30-ish...

Bring your drink(s) of choice and share in the laughter...the tears...the anger...the jealousy...the uhauls...the stalking... err..ohh..umm..yeah ..you know..normal queer things that degenerates do in a "relationship"

All pastries and FOPs are encouraged to share in this night. Bella will be looking forward to another full house...as she felt last night's meeting was "all about [her]"

Hello! I am the best Aunt ever! I never realized how smart little kiddos were. I have successfully taught my nephew Hunter the phrase: "We are going to the zoo, petting some animals, and picking up some ho's." Auntie is very proud of you! The great thing is that i am his nanny and I get to teach him many things. My next lesson will be helping Auntie pick up chic's. I took him to ikea with me the other day, and I swear every attractive girl stopped to talk to me, well and the boy too. Total chic magnet he is. Not that I need one, but I must train him for when I am single............He will be my jedi in training. I can't wait till I have kids!!!!!!!!

ok...so splurging for the pastry meeting next week at my house and getting a King Cake from Gambino's ... I figure we might as well go for the filled one...

Filling flavors: cream cheese, pecan praline, raspberry, peach, pineapple, blueberry, strawberry, lemon, apple, cherry, & chocolate brownie

those are the options... I am taking suggestions although I am leaning toward cream cheese or pecan praline... let me know if you have any objections or strong desires..

officially out of the running: pineapple and lemon

I am making dinner, in the form of attempting some sort of avocado cream sauce over cheese tortellini. Avocado cream sauce, that sounds plausible, right? We'll see.

So if you would like to eat dinner, we'll probably eat around 6 or so. In addition, I have been informed of the appearance of some sort of prospective spinach-dip-bread-bowl-goodness.

This has been a message from the Department of Late Notice.

Pastry meeting tomorrow will be held at Laurel's house, beginning around 5:30 or 6.

We will meet at Maria's house when it gets warmer/less rainy, so that we may go outside and see the stars and stuff.

Announcement: There WILL BE another round of no-rules socker chaos/ rambling around the field, tomorrow, 2:00 pm, at old Heritage Park. The current plan is to meet at my house and then go to the park. If anyone needs directions email me at aryder_window@netzero.com... if you come late or just want to meet at the park, just go to the park which is shown as the green triangle here:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&formtype=address&searchtype=address&cat=&address=Fife%20Ln%20%26%20Plymouth%20Colony%20Dr&city=Webster&state=TX&zipcode=77598&searchtab=home

I'm making dinner afterwards, too, for whoever decides to come. (You don't *have* to come to socker to come to dinner... just try to let me know by tomorrow morning- 11-ish if you'd like to come)

The menu:

asiago bread with olive oil
spinach and tomato salad with sunflower seeds and balsamic vinaigrette
angelhair pasta with homemade sun-dried tomato/ onion/ baby bellas alfredo sauce
and, whichever wine seems good at the time, possibly a(nother) Pinot Noir due to watching "Sideways"...

And, yes, nintendo, if we must. ;] I suppose I will cross-post regarding socker in emotional pastry... yes... that would be the thing to do.
